A Light of the World

(Matthew 5:14-16) "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
---Jesus Christ

It is a common practice as the days roll on to believe that it is not our job to lead, not our job to take charge, and not our job to help those that aren't saved. I hate to burst the bubble but thats exactly what our savior instructed us to do. We are told to "provide light to everyone in the house" and let our "light shine before men". Jesus clearly wants us to not only live out our lives as dedicated Christians, but also to lead everyone in the world to Christ (this is what is meant by the house). What good are we as Christ's servants if we keep God's glory to ourselves?

Thats right.....NONE! So it is our job to go into the world and minister to those in need and to spread God's Love and share the good promise. May we remember in our day to day affairs that it is our job to help bring people to Christ, we are his ambassadors of Truth and as he leads we should follow and take the light to the darkest depths of the Earth.....

True Worship

Think for a moment about what your idea of worship is......

When worship is the topic of conversation most peoples mind shift directly to music or a concert. But what is true worship?

(Romans 12:1)
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.

All of the Christian lifestyle can trace back to serving God's every will and truly giving ourselves to him. Our one and only job is to place our bodies in a position of sacrifice to God. To be willing to give up everything in our life to serve Him and come to know Him better. Think of how much closer we could grow to God if we watched less TV, played Less video games and used all that extra time to bond with God....

So I challenge everyone to give up something that takes time out of your day and use that time to read your bible and just talk to God.

Bless you all

Stepping Out on the Ledge

On a Daily Basis how many times do we let what others think over come our faith?

How many times is our Faith challenged?

And how do we overcome the obstacles?

There is a time in a new Christians life when the promises of Christ fill their life and they feel the urge to go out into the world and spread God's love to all things that live and breathe. This fire usually comes after being saved or a retreat of some kind. There nothing better than fired up Christians, but to often we let this roaring fire diminish into a dim glow of a spark that hardly anyone can see.....

To often we let the world sink back into our lives and take hold of hearts. To take a true stand for Christ we must latch on to the promises and truths of Christ and allow only those things to consume our heart. We must let our faith boom and allow our passion about Christ shine as bright as the sun through our actions and our attitudes.

(James 1:22-25)
God says: "Do not merely listen to the Word and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting was he has heard, but doing it--he will be blessed in what he does."

As Christians it can be easy at any step of our spiritual journey to let go of the lessons that we hear and to allow the teachings of the Bible to go in one ear and out the other. Though every walk in our spiritual journey will present new challenges it will also unlock opportunities to learn about and serve our Lord Jesus Christ.

I encourage you to continue on your spiritual walk with Christ and take His teachings to heart and may we all implement them into our daily lives as we truly strive to serve Him

God be with you all and if there are any questions feel free to comment or email me.
